Traveling from the U.S. to Cuba is a little more difficult under the Trump administration but it’s still allowed. However, with the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control rates traveling to Cuba a high risk and recommends travelers avoid all nonessential international travel there. As of October 12, 2020 Cuba reported 5,883 cases of the virus and 123 deaths.
We traveled there the last week of 2019 and the first week of 2020 and consider ourselves lucky to have made the trip before the pandemic hit the U.S. in March.
